Please don't take this the wrong way, its great to see an active GM sending in an Article....
You have the Northstars at "Might be time to move some expensive salary to other team, to make some cash for next camp"
What expensive salaries are you refering to?
Mike Modano (2.5M)?
Mike Richter (2.8M)?
another young Star making 2M or less (Hatcher/Dahlen/Zhamnov)?
The only player I could see a reason to move would be Boris Mikhailov (LW/RW), but that wouldn't happen till later on, when a Northstar playoff birth is out of the question. After all it was noted that a trade to a contender could happen if Boris was interested.
And as for Camps...we are full at the moment, but if we decide to put a player in, we still have plenty of funds in the bank account.
I guess being nearly 10M under the Cap and 30M in funds puts me in the "Sellers" category.

To whoever wrote this 'financial report', i appreciate the effort, we haven't had many gms sending in articles for the front page...but at least TRY to make it accurate. I didn't bother reading on after i got to my team.

A team currently holding home ice advantage in standings and still has room to make a deadline acquisition for the playoff run.
Good attempt man, keep up the effort, but watch the accuracy and try to look at more than just the hard numbers.

I wrote this articles 2 weeks ago, it got posted now, of course everything change in 2 weeks, you have trade and many other things that happen. i will not write this knid of articles anymore it takes too long to get posted on the site that evrything is out of date.
As refering to any players I did not do it, this is not my job to decide who should be going or not, these team have a Gm to do that.

I was not trying to nail you Ed but people should thing how much time we put into article. Next time I will check my stats more cerefully. I definitly appreciate the effort your putting in man. Believe me, i know how long these things take. in Ed's last league I ran newspaper type site for the league, writing my own articles aswell as posting others. It takes alot of time and effort. That effort isn't always rewarded with positive feedback. My comments weren't designed to get you to stop writing but in hopes it would motivate you to write a better article. It seems you have the imagination and effort to do so, hopefully you keep it up. Sorry for the misunderstanding. |
