10. St. Louis Eagles- 64 points
Analysis:
The Division winners:
The Pirates, though losing a bunch of their depth and a weak blue line, have the benefit of playing in the worst division in the league and should run away with it. The Tigers seem to be in rebuild mode, so this give the Americans the opportunity to grab a division title.
The Flames are basically bringing back the same squad that took the conference last year and should have a good shot of taking that division. The Noridiques have the best shot at taking what is probably the most competitive division in the league.
Last Year's Non-playoff teams:
The Seals' additions in the off season as well as an ever improving young core should vault them into a playoff position. The Ottawa Senators made some good depth moves, but are still a weak team, but a weak team in a weak conference and should squeak in. This leaves the Whalers and the Wanderers on the outside looking in.
The Eagles ill probably be in the same spot as last year, despite improving their team. While having great depth the North Stars seem to be victim of a strong conference and probably wont make it.
