Hi Gang,
I'm just trowing this idea around. In my old league, we had a "off season rule" that would make it possible to increase the seating capacity of your arena at a cost.
If my memory serves me correctly, you could had 1,500 seats for 5 times the league average revenue per game of the last season to a maximum seating of 21,500. In our case, it would be about 3 million per 1,500 extra seats added.
Like i said, I'm just trowing it out there. It could be an helpfull rule for team with small arena that have a bit of $$ to spend. Let me know what you all think

The ability to add seats is a great idea, however the cost would be the important factor in determining how many. I mean, a team with a larger arena holds more seats, makes more money and therfore already have an advantage in this league in regards to finances. When selecting teams I'm sure none of us thought...hmmm maybe I should choose the (whoever) cause of the seating capacity....at least I didn't (and I feel sorry for whoever did!haha).
I think any idea with having the ability to add seats at a cost should only be available if ALL teams start at the same capacity from the beggining.
Just as an example:
Team Capacity Revenue/Game Ticket Price Northstars - 16444 - $450202 - $35 Seals - 17483 - $487258 - $30
Two somewhat equally bad teams, but The Seals are making more, and one of the main reasons for that, in my opinion, are that they can hold more fans per game.

Of course I totally agree with you guys. I also belive that there should be a seating limit to all arenas. The moder arenèa hold what 22,000 fans. We could set that as the limit.
By the way guys, one thing that attracts more fans in the Sim arenas are players with 80 and more as OV. the FHL sim holds those palyers a superstars so...

I think it should be allowed if the team needs extr seat, in the NHL they are not building new seat before the rink gets full day after day. Here we can look at the average and then decide if the asking team qualified for this or not.

GMs can add seats their arenas in the off season only, at the cost of $1000 per seat
