you have the 1st overall in an NHL re-dispersal draft. Who do you pick?

My personal vote is Alex Ovechkin...and the reason is 3 fold....
1) He's the most exciting player in the league...which means ticket sales. 2) He has off-ice personality...which means ticket sales 3) I would rather have a pure goal scorer how can be a playmaker, than a pure playmaker who can score goals (Sid)

WOW!
Tough decision, but I think i'd go with Ovechkin as well. Same reasons as above, but I also dont like the fact that Sid already seems to be having injury problems (i.e. groin, high ankle sprain etc) and Ovy seems to be built like a tank and can take care of himself.

Ovechkin.
All of the above.
I would normally go goalie, but Marty is past his prime, and I think Luongo is too flaky to build a team around.
As far as the other players listed, I would pick Zetts next.

Even if Ovy is the best player we have seen for years... I'd still go with Luongo...
May be flaky at times but hey... who cares!
