Trading: GMs can trade assets such as players, cash, draft picks, prospects and coaches. The commish reserves the right to void and veto any trade he sees fit, if it is deemed detrimental to the league. It is illegal for GMs to participate in "load trades" where a GM trades players to stack another team for a playoff run, only for them to be traded back the following off-season. Any GM deemed to have been participating in such trades will be fined a whole years worth of draft picks.
Waivers: Any player who is 24 years of age or over and have played more than 8 VHL games in a single season is subject to waivers. To be claimed off waivers, GMs must send an e-mail to the commish instructing him of their desires.
Buy Outs: If a GM wishes to buy out the remainder of a player contract, he must be pay 75% of the remaining balance of the contract. These buy-outs do not count towards the salary cap.
