Bill Rusnock:Though his bold move didn't translate to on ice success, you gotta give him credit for having the balls to make some of the gutsy moves he did. Rick Young:Navigated through a very tough salary cap situation in Montreal. Always sent in lines and always responded to e-mails. Andy Bradley:I needed a 3rd nominee . But seriously, he's always willing to give his two cents and some how got an average roster to a great season.

I voted for Rick....to manage a team and get them below the cap, he did extremely well...and was always up for activity and Rick was consistently there.

i voted bill, obviously not gonna vote for myself and i admire a gm with guts to make a risky move. sometimes the payoff is further down the road than one season.
Would also send a kudos to Rick, great job with the team this year man.

GM finishes last place, trades away two of last three first overall draft picks......... yeah, THERE'S the GM of the year.
(I've been kind in articles to the Eagles all season- at least let me blast this guy once).
GM of the Year is without a doubt Andy. He's done a great job of securing veteran players who might not be as 'sexy' as others in the league, but much like Andy's philosophy 'they'll do'
Also, the St. Pats have reaped few of the rewards for trading Doug Gilmour, so they'll be on the upswing.

Looks liek im one of the few Bill supporters. Yes, his on ice success wasn't there this year but I give him all the props in the world for some of the ballsy moves he's made this year. Soem worked out, some didn't. But at least he didn't just sit idle and wait.

But at least he didn't just sit idle and wait. Nothing against Bill, he's done a fantastic job, I just dissagree with this comment. Its easy to trade, make roster moves, I think alot of respect should be given to some GM's that don't make the moves, thats the hardest part. I haven't made alot of moves because I drafted certain players and want to develop them and build my team from within. I think there are several ways to be a GM and still be active.

Amen to that....I had GMs in another league badger and pester other GMs into making trades...I definitley agree with Dave. There are more ways to get activity in the league....like doing article, doing league wide articles.
