Hello Everyone.
Please send UFA Pre-Signing offer to davidbiskup@hotmail.com. I will try to respond as quickly as possible.
A few things I expect are:
1) Tell me why the player should pre-sign. For example, player x has been our Captain and ha helped develop our younger players, we expect him to play top 6 minutes and PP time.
2) The more you write the better chance the player will feel "wanted" and his chances of signing are much higher.
3) This is the PRE-SIGNING period, therfore the offer MUST be higher than his previous contract (annual salary, SB's don't count). If you would like him to sign for less, then wait for the off-season.
4) If you would like to sign the player to a cap friendly salary, your options are to offer max signing bonuses, shorter terms, and/or NTC's.
5) I would like you to send me all offers for everyone you would like to pre-sign in ONE email. I will negotiate and decide who will re-sign with your team. Anyone who is not included in your email will assume the club is letting them test free agency. So take your time with the offers.
*Note: I've kept track of your reasonings, and anything that seems to be an act by the GM that contradicts these "promises" can/will implicate negotiations in the future. It is very unlikely that a player will waive a NTC so offer them wisely.
Have fun, I'll let you know if there is something that needs to be addressed as the period progresses.
Atlanta Flames,Cleveland Barons, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Falcons, Hamilton Tigers, Hartford Whalers, Kansas City Scouts, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Minnesota Northstars, Montreal Maroons, Montreal Wanderers, New York Americans, Oakland Seals, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Quakers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Quebec Nordiques, St. Louis Eagles, Toronto St. Pats, Winnipeg Jets
