I am starting a new thread to help keep track of players that were offered contracts that had various forms of "promises" yet the team is not holding up their end of the bargin. Obviously I will not be able to keep track of every little detail, nor is that important, however, from time to time, some players may stress their displeasure. The intention of this is not to discourage trades, or trade blocks it is more to hold us GM's a bit more accountable for our actions. I may also post positive comments aswell and I encourage Andy and Ed to post any feedback from my players.

Player: Cliff Ronning Team: Hartford Whalers
Reaction: "when I found out that the team had put me on the block I was outraged! They signed me long-term last season in the pre-signing period and promised I'd be with this team for a long-time. I haven't been able to give them my best since I was injured early, but I hope that changes and I find my game quickly. The team is playing well, and I hoped to be here for the next four years..."
Agents Comments: Although one of the main reasons Ronning avoided free agency and re-signed with the Whalers was the fact that he believed the team would hounour their offer, however with the lack of production and troubled start to the season, I understand that the team may want to seek alternate avenues.

Player: Paul Ranheim Team: Cleveland Barons
Reaction: "I kinda had to laugh a bit, I'm on the block 'cause the team is in financial trouble...I thought I was pretty cheap compared to some guys in the league! I never expected to be on the block, I wonder if I've gotten any bites?!
Agents Comments: Last seasons team leader in points signed one of the leagues most salary cap friendly contracts (for his skill level). This news is nothing to worry about as Paul is still happy and having another successful season.

This is a great idea, I like this so much. You should have you own section on the forum for this.

GM Pipp:Paul was on the block because he called my momma a slut but we worked it out and he has since been taken off the block and we are very happy with his performance thus far.

Agent:It seems a little line juggling has gotten Cliff back contributing. After going pointsless in his first 5 games back from injury, he has recorded 3 points (1-2) in his last two games. He was bumped from the first line to the second, centering Cam Neely and Craig Johnson. A good move by GM Fournier. Ronning:"I think hearing my name on the trade block put a little fear into me haha, but I feel good now, and my line-mates (Neely/Johnson) are doing a great job out there helping me."

Player: Mike Keane Team: Atlanta Flames
Reaction: "...this move probably just ended my career! It was class-less and I am uterly dissappointed in the team. They preached about loyalty when they offered me this contract, gave me a NTC..."
Agents Comments: Mikes reaction may be a bit uncalled for, however this news was difficult for him to take. Mike is a motivating players and plays a large leadership role. This might be an ideal time for a team lacking LD/EX to pick up an inexpensive player. I am aware that the Northstars have made a waiver request for him, but I am sure there will be other teams interested in his services aswell.
