This is it, the final series of the 1995 Vintage Hockey League Playoffs. The Northstars and Pirate teams only met twice in the regular season (unless I missed some) so this series is going to be a relatively new one. Many experts believe the Northstars are "over-performing" but many of the same experts believe the Pirates lead the league by so many points was due o the fact that they were in a weak division. We will all find out who the Champs are very soon. The first game of the series, in Pittsburgh, on Friday. Day 65 5-1 PIT s2.webstarts.com/VHL/uploads/VHL375.htmlDay 124 3-2 MIN s2.webstarts.com/VHL/uploads/VHL781.htmlI voted for Minnesota Northstars in six games. I think the so called "power-house" Pirates will come in very over-confident. The Northstars do not get alot of shots on goal, but they make the ones they get count. The also have the ability to take a lot of shots, as Richter has been playing extremely well, facing many shots on a nightly basis.

I PICKED THE PIRATES IN 6 FOR ONE SIMPLE REASON. BARRASSO HAS NEVER PLAYED A STRETCH OF GAMES LIKE HE HAS IN THIS PLAYOFF RUN SO FAR. I'VE USUALLY ATTRIBUTED HIS INFLATED NUMBERS TO THE TEAM HE'S BACKING. RIGHT NOW HE IS THE BACKBONE OF OUR TEAM. WITH SOLID GOALTENDING, THERE'S NO TELLING WHAT WE CAN DO IN ANY GIVEN GAME OFFENSIVELY. GOOD LUCK 2 U DAVE.

Congrats to the North Stars, it was a great series, game 7 OT, can't ask for more excitement. Very proud of my team getting to the Conference Finals upsetting the No. 1 & 2 teams along the way.
Some GMs may know but Greg and I planned on leaving the club at the end of this year due to time contraints. However, we feel we leave the team in a great position, with tremendous depth and some true allstars. Best of luck to the GM who takes over. It was a pleasure to be in this fantastic league. Continue with the great work Ed!
